E.U. compliance

The Regulations that we primarily work with in the United Kingdom are based on a series of E.U. Directives, and each member state has interpreted these directives in different ways. We offer compliance services under Packaging, WEEE and Batteries legislation in most countries in the EU, and some outside.

For Packaging, whereas in the UK the Regulations have led to the establishment of a free-market mechanism to support the recycling industry and achieve annual recovery targets, other E.U. countries typically set fixed levies on the recovery of packaging waste centrally.

Our European compliance services include:

• A one-stop shop for compliance in selected E.U. member countries (see list below)
• Registration with respective overseeing authorities (e.g. the Environment Agency in the UK)
• Packaging, WEEE, and battery calculations
• Annual, quarterly, and monthly data submissions (to satisfy requirements)
