REPRA (Retailers’ Producer Responsibility Association) was founded in 2003 by six leading UK-based retailers as a shared solution to complying with the UK’s packaging waste regulations. In conjunction with REPRA, ecoVeritas now annually undertakes the calculation of the packaging waste obligations for eight large department stores in parallel.
The current members of REPRA are: Fenwick, Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Liberty, Morleys, and Selfridges. To read our members’ feedback, please see our Testimonials page.
As a result of membership in REPRA, members have:
- typically reduced their compliance costs by half,
- fully complied with the regulations, with a minimum input of management resources, and
- improved their confidence in the accuracy of the calculations.
REPRA also provides a forum for members to discuss environmental issues such as carbon issues, waste management, corporate social responsibility, waste electronics, packaging minimisation, and hazardous waste. For more information, please see our REPRA FAQ.
REPRA is managed by ecoVeritas, who also assist many other companies (see a list of our clients here) to calculate their packaging waste obligations each year.
