RETAILERS' PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY ASSOCIATION (REPRA):

REPRA was founded in 2003 by 6 leading retailers to find a shared solution to the UK packaging regulations, and now undertakes the calculation of the packaging weight obligation for 7 large department stores in parallel.

The current members are Fenwick, Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, John Lewis and Selfridges.
REPRA's first five years have been very successful. (Please visit our testimonials). As a result of membership, members have:

  • Typically reduced their compliance costs by half
  • Fully complied with the regulations, with a minimum input of management resources
  • Improved the confidence in the accuracy of the calculations

REPRA also provides a forum for members to discuss environmental issues such as carbon issues, waste management, corporate social responsibility, waste electronics, packaging minimisation and hazardous waste.

REPRA is managed by ecoVeritas, who also assist several other companies (including Hamleys, Reebok, Suzuki and Tigi) to calculate their packaging waste obligation.

If you would like to know more about any of our services, including REPRA membership, please see our REPRA FAQ for more details, or contact Rupert Alison on 01865 721375 or at rupert@repra.co.uk.
